I love painting in harsh weather conditions; here is no exception at this cosy little inlet called Bullock Harbour. It was windy and bitterly cold. This gave me a real impetus to paint quickly and emotionally. I was taken in by the number of gulls along the shore and around the rocks. The strong current whipped up the surf, having a greater impact on the painting.
